Peter Anich was a highly talented farmer who lived near Innsbruck. This essay describes the
basic features of his sundials and presents photographs of all his sundials known today. His
vertical sundials on walls were popular and admired in the Tyrolean area and some artists
even copied his style. Today, Anich’s vertical sundials belong to the most beautiful sundials
in Austria.
